What's in my Meal?

Meal or Meal Replacement....
Nowadays we are so busy that when it comes to choices of food we tend to 'just leave it to the experts' as they say. And some people do make choices right there and then depending on the convenience they feel. Not discounting the fact that TV commercials are bombarding us with so many infos based on how delicious it is.

The sad thing in here is that most convenient and delicious food are no longer nutritious instead may lead us to accumulating unwanted toxins, made us more acidic thus resulting bad health conditions or worse to degenerative diseases. Yes, some people just love to fill in their palate to satisfy hunger or cravings not bothering their minds if these are food for survival or for longevity.

Well, as we are living in this fast paced world, we do sometimes made a rush choice....for convenience, for fun, for a gathered peers for holidays but we do need to cleanse it out by detoxifying maybe once in every three months. And some smart individuals are using Blue Miracle (have you heard of Blue Miracle?) to neutralize the acids we got on our daily lifestyle.

More so, to lessen the bulk of unwanted acids derived from our too much consumption of so many stuffs they decided to make their dinner light. I know most of us love to eat heavy dinner but only if we do it earlier say on or before 6pm but not late night please. If you feel hungry around 10:00 pm because you did it earlier few slices of apple will help or you can drink 1 glass of alkaline water (some use 3 drops of blue miracle in a glass of drinking water) and for sure you will have a good night sleep.

Some smart people too, joined the group of 'night light eaters' wherein they just do occasional or special night eating heavy meals but on a nightly basis they just prefer healthy meal replacements or oatmeals with a variety of mix-matches to avoid monotony or boredom minus the guilt as they say.

What Not To Do On Your Face!

Mirror,Mirror who's on the wall? Oh no, Is this me? Panic and Shock while looking at your face is not the right reaction on what you see on the mirror. Whatever it is that you saw on the mirror pause for a while, sit down take a deep breath and relax .. it's only when you are relax that you can do the right thing. After all you  can not just blame anyone on what had happened. But next time make sure to know on what to do and what NOT to do to your face.

WHAT NOT TO DO TO YOUR FACE:

1)Don't pick or extract blackheads or whiteheads yourself:
   By doing this you are not only having a bad/back job but you can spread the contents deep      into the oil gland and surrounding tissue therefore cause infection at the same time you are  stretching the pore permanently
2)Don't use a tweezer on anything except eyebrows and splinters:
   Tweezers are a woman's worst enemy.If you pluck facial hair, it will grow out flattened or     curled in the wrong direction and take note with a coarser texture
3)Don't allow hair care products to stray onto the face: 
    Because most of the hair care ingredients can aggravate the skin

WHAT TO DO:

1)For your blackheads to be extracted properly go to a good facialist or if you are in Cebu, Philippines please visit  F and S Beauty Elements and Holistic Center@ Sitio Ibabao, Brgy. 3)Toss all your facial creams/products that already smell funny or if it is already more than a year(especially the make up set). Never add water or saliva to a product, you can only introduce bacteria

Are you Ready? Summer Time.....is..... ShowTime!

Summer is here in Philippines! "Summer, Summer Anywhere- Time For Your Summer Wear! Some may say 'Yes I Do', but how about you?"
Yes, cotton backless blouses are 'IN', blazers,sweaters and layers are 'OUT'.

Most of us in summer time soak in beaches, swimming pools and etc.,others just manage to have their cool shower 3x a day to their 'heart's content' as they say.Sadly though, summer time means dehydrated skin, dull, dry and blemished or sunburned. No matter how enjoyable and exciting summer is for a lot of people but everyone needs to give extra attention on what to do. Seems women on their 30's ,40's, and maybe 50's are very much aware of and conscious too that they are willing to spend bucks for their SPF's lotions and sun protections but some surveys show that a lot of young ones from teens and twenties just want to explore and bravely face the sun, expose themselves in a limitless way ignoring the idea of using sunscreens.Yes they are aware of the dangers but some of them just want to explore.

Whatever it is, Summer Time Is Showtime!

Is Your Hair Happy In This Summer Season?

We have heard the phrase or service on a day spa 'Happy Feet' and that surely a service to pamper one's feet. It's the 1st choice for people who want to send the message to their feet that they're greatly appreciated .
How about a phrase 'Happy Hair' ? Shampooing daily,blow drying,hair straightening ,hair perming,hot curls and on goes the lists.Much had we given so much toxins and harmful ingredients to our hair that if only it can speak then you'll hear the voice 'wuuu;ewww 'and more agonies felt by your hair.
Is there something we can do to let our hair feel that they are as important as our face or our feet? To have a happy hair we need to start from within.

*Let's start cleansing our colons, they are the keepers of our food remains that somehow could hinder delivery of nutrients that we need for our hair.
*Eight glasses of water intake everyday is a must.
*Eat fresh fruits and veggies in variety of natural colors.
*Shampoo your hair 2 or 3x a week.
*Schedule once a week hair treatments.
*Lessen the use of blowers to your hair.

Here are some ways to achieve Happy Hair:

For Dry Hair:
*Massage the creamy insides of the avocado into clean dry hair and leave for 10 to 20 minutes,then rinse in a warm water (huh not boiling)
*Massage coconut oil into your hair and leave for a few hours.Wash several times before your hair feels silky rather than oily.

For Lack luster Hair:
*Massage 2 large grated carrots into damp or dry hair.Trap it with a bath cap or shower cap and leave for 15-20 minutes.Then squeeze half a lemon into 200ml(1 cup) water and use the mixture as a final rinse after shampooing.

For Thinning Hair:
*Whisk 2 eggs and massage them into your hair.Wash off after 10 minutes to enhance hair growth and strength.Put several sticks of celery through a juicer and massage the juice into your scalp .Leave for 15 minutes before washing.

Make Your Day!

Everyone is excited while their Special Day or Big Day is fast approaching.Wedding,Baptismal,Recognition,Graduation or Birthdays ....... goes the list. Some individuals tend to panic that leads to too much stress. Here, comes that Special Day and their face is so tired,saggy and stressed. Worse, some skin will show their condition in bad skin.
Since we call it Special or Big Day, then let us do some things that will surely fitted to this definition.For some, a week or 2 or 3 days before that day, they will visit a Day Spa to have a make over but of course you should know how much does it cost especially nowadays economy is not so good for the majority.Others just stay home decide to have a 2 day fasting with only fresh fruits and fruit juices veggies on their dining table while some doing the ballroom dancing, aerobic exercise and some jogging or walking(pls don't forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day). Watching funny movies are also good to add on your activities.
Not to discount dry brushing your whole body with loofah before jumping into your bath tub or shower and enjoying the aroma of your favorite essential oils while doing it.
Every Special Day, picture taking is always one of the list of activities for everyone at the event. A picture taken a long time ago still a good start reminisce happy days of our lives.A day before that picture taking day a good traditional facial should be done on your face to make sure your skin will be evenly toned,well cleanse to oust dead skin cells ,blackheads and whiteheads and ready to welcome the foundation of your make up and yeah feel good, confident and look better on your photos.
What is a good traditional facial? Good traditional facial is a simple general cleaning of your face that you really need even if you are not scheduled to attend an event.Just like a home that needs everyday sweeping of our floors,dusting counter tops but surely there is time for general cleaning.And so with our face we should have a general cleaning!

How To Reduce Dandruff


Let's face it!Dandruff is embarrassing,annoying,irritating but not a serious disease.Though there's no cure for such, but sure enough you can reduce or minimize it.
Dandruff is common scalp condition that occurs when dead skin is shed thus producing white flakes that surely irritates the sufferer.
Before we'll start looking for a solution let us first recognize what are the possible causes.To name a few: STRESS is one, if you are facing so many pressures of life&workplace as well.Then , others have overactive glands (some people tend to generate and discard skin cells at a faster/rate than others),some evidence suggest that dandruff is usually caused by overgrowth of the yeast Pityrosporum ovale/orbiculare which lives naturally on the skin.It also can be triggered by illness,improper carbo consumption,sugar consumption and some nutritional deficiencies like selenium,essential fatty acids, and B complex.
Here are some solutions:
1)Look for shampoos with selenium sulfide,tar or zinc pyrithione to wash dandruff away as these ingredients(if you can find it in an anti dandruff shampoo) can retard the rate at which scalp cells multiply.Some shampoos has anti fungal property known as Ketoconazole that will kill the yeast that maybe causing your dandruff.But if you notice that your anti dandruff shampoo stops working after a few months of using,then it's time to switch to other active ingredient(the probable cause is that your scalp got used to your shampoo)then after a few weeks you can switch back.
Other ways of reducing dandruff:
a) By herbal infusion of chapparal or thyme use it as hair rinse
b) Aloe vera cream or gel is a powerful antiseptic and anti inflammatory(2x a day application of pure aloe vera gel or shampoo can be beneficial
Here are some recommendations:
* Eat a diet consisting 50 to70% raw foods.
* Eat soured product like yogurts or soured cream
* Avoid fried foods,too much dairy products,sugar,flour,chocolate and seafoods
* Schedule a twice a month fasting ,eating only veggies and fruits
* When washing your hair add about 8 tablespoons of pure organic peanut oil to the juice of half
lemon,rub mixture into your scalp leave it 5 to 10 minutes then shampoo.
* Try rinsing your hair with 1/4 cup vinegar to quart of water (do it after shampoo).

Making A Home Made Organic Baby Oil

Creating home-made organic baby oil is fun and rewarding as well.While loving mothers are in constant search on what's good for their babies and kids, making a home made organic baby oil and some essentials is a plus.

For Sensitive Baby's Skin:

Calendula infused or Jojoba Oil
olive oil
lavender essential oil
1 amber empty 120ml sized bottle
Procedure:
mix 3/4 of calendula oil to 1/4 of olive oil and add 1 to 2 drops of lavender oil in the amber bottle close tight and shake well
